Jacque Roberts
I trained as a registered nurse at Universal College of Learning (UCOL) Palmerston North in 2003 and began working at the Waikato Hospital as new graduate nurse in 2004. My work experiences have been surgical wards, including Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular, Orthopaedic and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). In 2010 I started my training as a Registered Nurse First Surgical Assistant (RNFSA) and completed my post graduate diploma in Advanced Nursing in 2012.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist RNFSA in cardiac surgery I assist the surgeon with all types of cardiac surgery and harvest conduit for coronary artery bypass surgery. I am interested ensuring patient satisfaction in cosmetic appears of wounds, teaching basic surgical techniques and maintaining and monitoring of surgical site infection rates. |
